Depict Short Film Evalutation

https://www.depict.org/2008/enough/?category_request=picks

The short film 'Enough' shows very clearly the world that we live in right now so it shows what some young people get dragged into. Knife crime is on the rise right now around the UK so this film shows just how harmful everything can be.
In this short film the "bullies" stab one of their dads without knowing it and you can see how much of an impact that had on one of the bullies.
The reaction that the kid had towards his dad was the exact same reaction that parents have when they find out that their son got stabbed. The world we live in is plagued with crime and violence.
Personally i really liked that it was shot in daylight because it shows that knife crime could happen anytime and whenever.

I really enjoyed the short film 'Experiments in parahypnosis' because of how creepy and well made it was. The dialogue is made in a form of a documentary but the video is creepy but still goes well with the dialogue this allows the creepy voice to add up with the creepy video to make a creepy short film. I really do enjoy watching the paranormal and this is goes well along with what i enjoy watching. The quick cuts and fast moving images allow the 'horror' part of the video to really kick in. Also the music adds to the 'dream like state' that the fast moving images, which makes it seem as if you're watching a nightmare. The usage of images that may have well been used in a horror film allows this to work very well and thats why i enjoy this short film.

i enjoyed watching 'The End' as it shows people what chaos there is on different parts of the world. i like the fact that the man uses the globe to "control" the events that occur outside of the window which is not shown but is heard by ambient sound. and when he accidentally drops the globe on the floor the world as you know it ends and it cuts to the credits. I enjoyed that there was not a lot of movement within the shot and that the nearly the whole short film was shot in one angle the angle only changed when he moved the globe and when there are close ups onto his face to show his reaction to what is happening on the outside once he moves the globe. I really enjoyed the sound effects that were used as they were unexpected and changed every time he moved the globe.

I really enjoyed the way that the creator gave life to a non living object. The non diagetic sound allows the object to have more life than any other object. I loved that the object had a character. The fact that the tv looked at humans out of a window and ate crisps like we would do when we watch tv allows the viewer to see that there is many things to look forward to than just watching a tv.

I loved that the ID photo told most of the story alongside the narrator. Even if there was no narrator there would have been a clear story with just the photos but the narrator adds to the image. I enjoyed that the only thing that could be seen was the images and the only sound other than the voice of the narrator was the sound effect of the photo being taken.
